There is always a lot of Saskatchewan Roughrider team colours and signs on display at the Ag in Motion farm show. It appears on everything from t-shirts to UTVs cruising the grounds. But this year one of the most notable Roughrider tributes was a specially outfitted Peterbilt 579 truck tractor.

The truck featured a unique design that would make any team fan proud. The truck was only one of a large number of Class 8 trucks on display this year. As farm sizes grow, the need to haul a lot of grain and fertilizer grows too. So farmers have increasingly been turning to semi-trailer trucks for years now, and the number of trucks on display on the show grounds reflects that.

Two truck brands have brought models for the public to try out in the ride-and-drive area. Redhead Equipment once again brought a Mack grain truck and International had a truck tractor available for visitors to run around the test track.

One notable dealer also had a B-train trailer combination on display that turned heads. Built by Raglan Trailers in Ontario, the high-capacity trailers offered two tridem axle groups and was designed to be pulled by a tri-drive truck tractor. That 10-axle combination raises the maximum allowable gross vehicle weight to over 70,000 kilograms.
