The Heliodor 9 Compact Disc is designed to level ruts, kill weeds, bury moderate amounts of crop residue, or create an optimal seedbed in a single high-speed pass. Each 510 mm (20”) disc is individually attached to the frame via a leaf spring for precise depth control and unique crumbing action. The Heliodor relies on design, not weight, to penetrate the soil. Each disc is set at a cutting angle of 10.5 ° to the ground and 16,5 ° to the direction of travel to ensure it pulls itself into the soil at high speed. Soil and residue is mixed to a maximum working depth of 12 cm (4.7”) by the two rows of discs. Rollers crumble and reconsolidate the soil to create firm, seed-ready soil.
