The Brillion Sure Stand concept has stood the test of time and the challenges of many competitors and seeding methods. However, the simplicity of the Sure Stand concept remains the best way to seed legumes and grasses efficiently. The large front notched roller firms the seedbed and creates shallow indentations on the soil surface. The seeds are metered by the seed boxes and then fall freely onto the deflectors. The deflectors distribute the seeds across the full width of the seeder for broadcast seeding. The smaller rear roller, whose notches split the center of the indentations left by the front roller, packs the soil around the seeds to ensure optimal seed-to-soil contact and uniform seed placement.
